I have always had a thing for French Impressionism, and I find that my style is increasingly moving in that direction. I love to feel the movement when I paint.
This painting is special to me because it is attached to a memory. Last summer, I had the privilege of accompanying my husband, Drew, to Oxford, UK, as he presented a paper at a conference. There was a pub at the base of our hotel (if you are familiar with British telly, this is the original pub that the famous Inspector Morse frequented), and after a long day, our bartender served me a beer in this beautiful bottle... I loved it so much that he wrapped it up for me in cellophane to bring home (his idea)! It is pictured here displaying this year's backyard sunflowers outside of our home.
